Hindu organizations again took over the reins of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Padmavati’. But it is once again surrounded by controversies. Vishwa Hindu Parishad has threatened that this popular film, Padmavati, which will be released in December, will not be allowed to run in any of the cinemas in Uttar Pradesh.

VK Rakesh Verma, Minister of State for VHP

The VHP state co-minister Rakesh Verma said that in the film ‘Padmavati’, the glory of foreign invaders has been done to insult the Rajasthani jawar. No nationwide patriot can tolerate the insult of Padmavati. He said that the VHP will answer the people who try to destroy the cultural heritage of India.
At the same time, he demanded a ban on film release from the central government and said that if the government ignored this sensitive issue, then the VHP activists would not be silent. We will strongly stop it from displaying in theaters across the state. Workers of the VHP and Bajrang Dal took out a procession from Ramlila Ground in the city and shouted posters of ‘Padmavati’ by reaching Shastri Chauraha.
